Jakarta, Media Indonesia Raya – Ikatan Sarjana Perikanan Indonesia (ISPIKANI) menggelar seminar nasional pada Sabtu (16/9) di Hotel Mercure Ancol, Jakarta. Seminar nasional, yang bertemakan “Strategi dan Inovasi Guna Mendukung Perikanan Berkelanjutan”, menghadirkan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Wahyu Trenggono sebagai keynote speaker, dan narasumber lainnya seperti Dr. Agus Suherman (Plt. Dirjen Perikanan Tangkap KKP), Dr. TB. Haeru Rahayu (Dirjen Perikanan Budidaya KKP), Irjen. Pol. Drs. Victor Gusyaaf Manoppo (Dirjen Pengelolaan Kelautan dan Ruang Laut KKP), Aris Utama (Direktur PT. Bumi Menara Internusa), dan Prof. Dr.
Luky Adrianto (Ketua Dewan Profesi dan Pakar ISPIKANI).

Kegiatan seminar nasional juga dirangkai dengan dengan kongres ke 9 yang diadakan selama 2 (dua) hari, dari tanggal 16-17 September 2023.

Dalam sambutannya Sekjen Ikatan Sarjana Perikanan Indonesia (ISPIKANI) Kusdiantoro menyatakan siap untuk mendukung program ekonomi biru Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP).

Kusdiantoro mengemukakan, wilayah Indonesia terdiri dari 70 persen wilayah perairan, sehingga memiliki sumber daya alam kelautan yang sangat melimpah.

Ia menyampaikan, Indonesia memiliki 35 persen perikanan dunia yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Misalnya, tuna, udang, lobster, dan rumput laut.

“Komoditas itu tidak hanya digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan nasional, tapi juga mendukung ketahanan pangan dunia,” ujar Kusdiantoro, Sabtu (16/9/2023).

Kusdiantoro memaparkan, Indonesia memiliki komoditas ikan tangkap terbesar nomor dua di dunia dengan potensi produksi ikan sebesar 12,1 juta ton per tahun.

Oleh sebab itu, ia berkomitmen untuk mendukung Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) dalam program ekonomi biru.

“ISPIKANI akan menjadi bagian penting kebijakan ekonomi biru yang menempatkan keseimbangan ekonomi dan ekologi di sektor perikanan nasional,” tegasnya.

Meski begitu, ia mengakui, masih banyak tantangan yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan sektor perikanan nasional.

Sehingga, ia meminta semua pihak untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut ke depan dalam segi inovasi, teknologi, dan digitalisasi.

“Namun teknologi canggih tidak sepenuhnya menjadi faktor penentu, sebab dibutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas,” tandasnya.(Win/Red)
