Jakarta, Media Indonesia Raya – Sekitar 250 orang pengunjuk rasa datangi KPK daerah Kuningan Rasuna Said, Jakarta, Syafrudin Budiman SIP atau Gus Din naik keatas mobil pickup dan berorasi, adapun isi orasi yang disampaikannya adalah:
Rencana revisi UU Nomor 30 Tahun 2002 tentang KPK harus disikapi dengan jernih. Tak boleh emosional menyebut rencana revisi dimaksud sebagai upaya pelemahan. Di usia KPK yang sudah sekitar l7 tahun sejak berdiri pada tahun 2002, jelas dan pasti KPK butuh pembenahan dan perbaikan. (10/9/2019).
“Langkah melakukan revisi tersebut menjadi pilihan tepat sebagai sebuah keharusan dengan spirit dan tujuannya demi penguatan kerja pemberantasan korupsi ke depan sesuai dengan tantangan zaman saat ini,” ujar Gus Din asal Madura ini.
“Perbaikan terkait perlunya dewan pengawas, pengaturan tentang penyadapan, kemudian tentang pegawai tidak bisa dijadikan alasan kemudian menuding akan teljadi pelemahan terhadap KPK,” kata Ketua Umum Barisan Pembaharuan ini.
Sebab katanya, urgensi perlunya dewan pengawas guna memberikan pengawasan terhadap penyadapan sebagai langkah pencegahan dan mengurangi potensi penyalahgunaan kekuasaan. Apalagi, fungsi pengawasan sangat penting dalam lembaga negara di sebuah negara demokrasi manapun di dunia ini.
“Aneh jadinya saat melihat para pegawai KPK merasa prihatin dengan rencana revisi itu. Bahkan wadah pegawai KPK sampai mengkampanyekan penolakannya seperti telah melakukan politik praktis, Ini berbahaya! Dan juga harus diingat, WP di lembaga penegak hukum tidak dikenal. Jadi penting jika dalam revisi UU KPK nanti posisi atau status pegawai KPK diatur secara jelas,” tukas Gus Din.
Menurutnya, sudah seharusnya DPR kita dukung dalam upaya revisi UU KPK tersebut. Apalagi dalam perbaikan tersebut juga akan menambah kewenangan KPK dalam penghentian penyidikan.
“DPR juga harus didukung untuk melanjutkan sampai tuntas fit and proper test capim KPK hingga terpilih 5 komisioner KPK terbaik dan pemberani yang bisa membawa perbaikan, perubahan dan penguatan terhadap KPK,” tegas Aktivis Mahasiswa Surabaya angkatan 1998 ini.
Maka dari itu, menurut Gus Din atas nama Civil Society Movement (CSM) atau gerakan masyarakat sipil menyatakan sikap:
